The Human Resource Department directs and administers resource management services for Cascade County, including:

• Recruitment and selection
• Compliance with State and Federal employment laws
• Collective bargaining
• Labor relations
• Employee orientation
• Training and development
• Compensation
• Employee benefits
• Job analysis and job evaluation
• Compliance with ADA and EEOC
• Creating and maintaining employee records
• Payroll procedures, operations, and requirements
• Workers compensation
• Personnel investigations
• Mediation
• Safety and risk management

The department also works with managers, supervisors, department heads, elected officials, and other county employees on a wide variety of employment-related issues. The department has responsibility for developing, revising, and administering personnel policies, which are adopted by the Board of County Commissioners.
