The Cascade County Planning Department is responsible for the administration and enforcement of the County's Development plan, the State of Montana Subdivision and Platting Act, Cascade County's Subdivision Regulations, Floodplain Regulations, Zoning Regulations, Commercial Development Permits, Fireworks Permits, and overall land use management for the County. In addition, the Planning Director oversees parkland administration, road abandonments, issues regarding land use and land use regulation, community decay investigation and enforcement, junk vehicle removal and disposal, as well as administration of the Planning Board, Cascade County Zoning Board of Adjustment and the Park Board.
FIREWORK STAND APPLICATIONS ARE DUE JUNE 9, 2012. ADDITIONALLY, AN UPDATED/NEW SITE PLAN IS REQUIRED TO BE SUBMITTED WITH EVERY APPLICATION.
The City of Great Falls, Cascade County and Malmstrom Air Force Base have partnered to initiate the preparation of the Malmstrom Air Force Base Joint Land Use Study. The JLUS is being funded through a grant from the Department of Defense - Office of Economic Adjustment.
If you plan on building or developing land outside the City limits and within the boundaries of Cascade County, please contact this office concerning any applications and regulations that may need to be adhered to prior to any development.
